Nai Thon Beach

Nai Thon Beach Video:

Nai Thon Beach Phuket is found in the northwest of Phuket Island, and is a west facing beach in southern Thailand that is exactly 1 kilometer long (.6 miles).

There is basically one street in Nai Thon, Highway 4018, that goes by the beach and stretches from one side of town to the other. Nai Thon Beach is quite a nice sandy beach with a lot of shady trees between the beach and the road. There are some rocks on both ends which makes snorkeling possible, and some coral under the water, but for the most part, swimming and wading is safe if you watch out for submerged obstacles.

Behind the beach is a group of restaurants and shops you can walk around for a while to see what they might have for you. Like food!
Nai Thon Beach is one of the least crowded beaches on Phuket, and that just doesn’t change. Nearly every day of the year, you won’t find more than a dozen people or so.

Pretty amazing, right? It’s a little bit of a drive from Patong Beach, so that helps explain it. There are also more than forty beaches in Phuket, so there are many places for people to go.

Don’t miss sunset here, it’s fantastic! If you’re looking for some nightlife, you’re probably best to head down to Bang Tao Beach where there are plenty of bars and clubs to choose from.
