Koh Maphrao | Coconut Island in Phuket is found just 2,789 feet (850 m) east of Laem Hin Pier on Phuket’s east coast. This is a small island, less than 2 miles (3.2 km) long and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) at its widest point. There are small beaches all over the island, but the main Coconut Beach is located on the northern coast of the island. There are not many trees on the beach, and it is lined with private villas you can rent.
Sand is deep and darker in color than some other beaches with less mud content. The beach also has some rocks and shells. Water quality was mentioned by some as not the cleanest, with some even preferring to stick to the pools instead.

Pa Yoi Restaurant – Also on the North coast of Maphrao Island is this delicious eatery with an almost unbelievable 4.9 rating. They have less than 50 reviews, so take it with a grain of salt, but it’s probably worth trying if you’re in the mood for something different from Coconut Seafood Restaurant.
There are plastic chairs here and the place isn’t quite as nice aesthetically as Coconut Seafood, but the food gets good ratings so check it out if you don’t care how a place looks. Prices were comparable with Coconut’s and the view is about the same.

They have an extensive menu with a lot of fried items, sandwiches (regular square bread), and Thai and Western favorites.
Prices were very reasonable and the food was good. They get outstanding ratings but only have about 150 at last glance. Cocktails, music, and games are what guests stay for in the after-dinner hours. This is a nice place to eat and relax for a chilled-out night watching the light fade away over the ocean.

Island Escape by Burasari – On the Northeast tip of Ko Maiphrao Island you can find this beachfront hotel looking out over the north. The outdoor spaces are large and luxurious, fitting for a much higher-priced resort. The rooms are light and bright with a lot of wood furnishings and rafters. It really has a nice appearance for the price!
They have a waterslide, pools for each unit, easy beach access, and roped-off swimming areas at the beach. They have nearly 500 reviews and reached 4.2 out of 5 at Google Business. We highly recommend this one for most people.
Prices during high season begin around 3,400 THB – a real bargain!
The Village Coconut Island
The Village Coconut Island – This is a large hotel with many villas is located right on the main Koh Maphrao Beach. In fact, it covers most of the West side of the beach. Swimming pools, water slides, and a large gaming area for children make this a very kid-friendly hotel with a lot of things to do compared to some other hotels in Phuket.
There are many people at the breakfast buffet each morning, and a number of people reviewing the hotel on social media mention the average food quality. Russians, Indians, and Chinese tourists are the main guests here because they are the main visitors to Phuket! Fairly high ratings on Google with 4.3 out of 5 stars and over 1,600 ratings.
Rates start at just 4,500 THB for a small room and go up to 50,000+ THB for a Five Bedroom Grand Beachfront Pool Villa during the high season.
