Ao Po (also called Ao Por) is a secluded bay on the north eastern coast of Phuket.
Ao Por Pier is one of the main piers in Phuket for people who wish to catch a boat to Pangna Bay and it's surrounding islands or to cruise around the inlets that line the coasts of Phuket. The pier is positioned at the northeastern edge of the island in the area of Pa Khlok.
Ao Po Grand Marina is the gateway to Phangna Bay. Now a 300 berth marina with 10m wide walkways on the north and east docks, the marina accommodates superyachts of 100+ metres. Dockside has shore power to a max of 400 amps, clean water and, nearby a deep water, high capacity fuel dock for your convenience. The ramp allows for haul-outs up to 100+ meters and the hardstand accommodates 80 boats. It is accessible 24 hours a day and has zero tide restrictions.
The Chandara Resort remains just out of sight of Ao Po, around the northern corner, boasting its own small headland and private beach. This beach is something of a pleasant surprise for the East coast, it is quite wide and with fine white sand and tropical sea breeze.
One of the islands that shelter the bay is the desired Naka Yai Island. With wide sandy beaches on both east and west coasts it is backed by coconut plantations and large shady trees making this a perfect spot to spend the afternoon relaxing. There are also two resorts on the island if you wish to make your relaxing afternoon an overnight trip.
