Koh Bon Island is located in the Andaman Sea about 1 kilometer east of the southernmost tip of the island of Phuket, off an area called Promthep Cape, and directly south of Phuket’s Laem Ka Beach. This is a small island about 1 km. long, and 300 meters wide.
Tourists can reach this island by booking a tour which stops at the island or by taking a long tail boat from one of the nearby beaches out to the island for a five-minute boat ride. To reach Promthep Cape from Patong Beach, take Highway 4233 south the entire distance – about 20 km. and a 40-minute drive in light traffic.
