Koh Racha Noi Island is located 26 kilometers directly south of Phuket Island’s Promthep Cape, in the Andaman Sea. It is a sister island to Koh Racha Yai Island just 8 km. north-northeast. Koh Racha Noi is comprised of two islands within swimming distance of each other. The northernmost island is 3.5 km. long and 400 meters wide, and the island below is 3 km. long and about 100 meters wide. Long tail boat rides are not possible, the distance is too great. Speedboats are the option tourists use to visit this group of islands.
Boats leave from Ao Chalong Pier on Phuket’s east coast daily when weather is good. Ao Chalong Pier is located just east of Phuket Town. From Patong Beach, take Highway 4029 east. Travel time on the water is 30-45 minutes. If you want to visit both Ko Racha Noi and Racha Yai, make that clear to the booking agency you’re dealing with.
