Chul Art

Chul Art Gallery is a little Thai art shop located in Bangtao in Cherngtalay, near the beach. The artist works in front of his shop, painting for anyone who walk by and want to have a look. These are large poster-sized paintings for the most part. Subjects vary greatly: you can always find some elephants and many other animals as well as Buddhist temples, monks and even different Buddha representations, as part of the subjects covered.

Prices are always reasonable, and you can of course try your hand at bargaining a price down if you find something you like. If there’s a subject you’d like to have a painting of, you might bring a large photograph with you and give it to the artist to see if he could replicate it.
